Exploring humans’ relationship with rain, water and nature.
The Rain Wall will engage guests in a beautiful and educational experience with a mixed media wall that includes lush greenery fed by a water system and curtain of rain. Behind the rain curtain, beautiful moving images appear in an ultrawide, cinematic display that interprets the million ways in which falling precipitation intersects human and natural environments… raindrops collecting on flower petals, ripples in a lake, rivulets on a car window, snow collecting on a fire hydrant. The falling water of the rain curtain will change in speed and intensity to augment the media. The rain curtain will open to allow visitors unobstructed viewing of the media as information is presented. Profound statements about humans’ relationship with rain, water and nature will be embedded in the film and soundtrack.
The Rain Wall is presented by the Alloy Family Foundation. It will be located in the Habitat exhibition in the Craig Family Gallery.
